Care Instructions

Leather

Over time leather can get dirty and lose some of it’s natural oils. All of our leather products are sent out with a protective finish but over time it will need to be reapplied. We recommend using a gentle, all natural leather conditioner such as our San Filippo Leather Care, usually after 6 months to a year of use. We do not recommend using this or any product on our distressed brown leather, or any of our dopp kits. Use a clean cloth and apply in circular motions. Let it dry completely. Leather that does not dry out will last a lifetime. Like most high quality leather products, some of ours will require you to break them in, as you would with a new pair of leather shoes. Some of the leather we use will change color with time, especially our undyed natural leather. With use it will turn darker as it gains a patina. Leather is a superior material; however it does need care and it will change over time.

Stainless Steel

Avoid wearing in chlorinated water or salt water. To clean use warm water and mild dish soap. Dry completely. Stainless steel is tough and won’t tarnish, which is why it’s a favorite material of ours. However, try to avoid anything that could scratch it.

Brass

Avoid wearing in chlorinated water or salt water. To clean use warm water and mild dish soap. Brass definitely will tarnish and darken over time. You can soak in a solution of water and vinegar for 5 minutes, brushing lightly with a soft toothbrush to remove tarnish and lighten, but be careful as too much can cause the brass to turn copper colored.
